Concours Glamour : and the winner is...

Je suis flattée, que dis-je, honorée d'être la grande gagnante du concours "Recettes Cultes" du magazine Glamour. Passé le premier choc (et l'incrédulité je dois l'avouer, j'étais convaincue qu'il s'agissait d'une erreur), je me suis laissée aller à la joie la plus totale et aie appelé, hystérique, tous mes proches pour leur faire part de la nouvelle ! Et si je vous dis que je ne participe jamais aux concours de cuisine, vous allez me prendre pour une grosse mythomane, mais c'est bien vrai, juré, craché !! Ce qui m'a incité à participer ? Le fait que le juré soit "unipersonnel " (ça se dit, çà ?) et quelle personne ! : Jean-François Piège himself, Chef que j'apprécie énormément et dont j'ai eu le privilège de goûter la Cuisine aux Ambassadeurs il y a quelques années (ma critique ici). Et en tant que grande gagnante, je suis vraiment gâtée : ma recette au menu du Thoumieux (l'un des deux nouveaux restos de JF Piège) pendant une journée en Septembre et dans le magazine Glamour, un coffret smartbox pour un repas gastronomique pour deux, et enfin un robot kitchen-aid rétro. N'oublions pas mes 4 "dauphines" (pff, voilà que je me prends pour Miss France maintenant)qui remportent les mêmes prix que moi, en dehors du robot. Bravo à elles !! Dans mon interview sur le site Glamour, vous découvrirez plein de choses sur moi : comment je me suis mise à la cuisine, l'histoire de cette recette, etc, ainsi que la recette elle-même bien sûr !

I'm flattered, or should I say, honored to have been voted winner of Glamour magazine's recipe contest . After the first shock ("disbelief" would be more appropriate actually as I was, at first, convinced they had sent the "you won" email to the wrong person), I got hysterical and immediately called my friends and family to inform them of the big news! And if I swear I usually never take part in cooking contests, will you believe me ?  It's true, I swear ! So, what prompted me to participate, you may ask ? :  the fact that the jury member  was Jean-François Piège himself, one of the most famous French Chefs. I like the way he is on TV shows (he is one of the juries at the French Top Chef) and  I had the priviledge  to taste his amazing cuisine at Les Ambassadeurs at the Crillon Hotel a few years ago (read my review here). As the big winner, I  really got spoiled : my recipe will be on the Thoumieux menu (his new restaurant) and in Glamour magazine in september, I won a Smartbox for a gourmet meal for two and last but not least, a  retro kitchen-aid food processor. If you read my interview on Glamour website, you will find out many things about me : how I started cooking, the history of this recipe, and many other things....as well as the recipe itself of course!
