Daring Bakers : Mes "Froggy" Crackers et sauce aubergines/tomates, My Froggy Crackers and eggplant/tomato dip
"Froggy"
Lavash Crackers with tomato powder and Herbes de Provence
Strips Lavash Crackers with dried coriander leaves and Cumin
Eggplant and Tomato Dip
Sauce aubergines/tomates
I am not sure my crackers are as thin as they
were supposed to be, but I had fun with them and, most importantly, they were
good. I used a fluted wheel for the
“strips” crackers and a cookie cutter for the frog shape, in honor of my
country of birth (and residence) : France. Aren’t they cute ?. And with herbs
de province and tomato powder, they were a perfect match for the eggplant,
tomato and garlic dip. I serve this dip with croutons bread almost every time I
have guests at home. It is indecently yummy !

Eggplant/tomato
dip
2 eggplants
5 tomatoes
4 garlic
cloves, crushed
Salt and
pepper
Preheat
oven 275°C ( 525°F).Clean eggplants and tomatoes.
Put all
eggplants and tomatoes on a baking sheet lines with foil and bake until
eggplants and tomatoes are black.
Remove from
the oven, let cool a little. When they are easy to handle, peel them. But all
in a large mixing bowl.
Add garlic and season. Using two knives at the same time, chop the mixture until it looks like a decent dip. If it is too liquid, drain the mixture through a sieve.

Anne, the crackers look just great! I think there's no right or wrong thickness, it all depends on personal preference. Someone likes them very crisp, and someone else - not so.
Great job on the challenge. the crackers look fantastic!

Have you posted a recipe for your lavash crackers before? I couldn't find it. They look delicious in any case, as does the dip.
